Women in Business Series: Meet Ashli-Renai Foster

Hey guys,

This week we are featuring another phenomenal entrepreneur. Meet Ashli-Renai, the founder of Graced by Ashli-Renai. Graced by Ashli Renai is a business that sells Crochet Swim Resort/Streetwear. (Just as an FYI , resort wear is swimwear you wear on vacation that’s a little more extra than the usual swimwear).

We asked Ashli-Renai the burning questions you’d have about her business. This is what she said:

What makes your business different from your competition?

Our promise to our customers is that they will feel confident and secure in whatever they order from us. We have consultations before the pieces are made to ensure our promise is achieved and our customers feel like their best selves in whatever they order from us.

How do you stay a Goody on a Budget?

Budgeting!
As well as getting the materials I need in bulk. This helps me to not throw away money paying multiple shipping fees. This also helps to keep operating costs as low as possible to provide affordable solutions to customers.

What have you learnt from starting your business?

To be a business there has to be money flowing, otherwise it is a hobby.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone wanting to start a business? 

Write the business plan!!

What tool have you found to be most beneficial? Eg excel, a particular app, for both your personal life and your business. 

Waveapps has saved my life, it keeps track of all the money related to the business. Besides my google calendar, I don’t really use apps in my personal life. (I’m borderline addicted to YouTube but that’s more of a lifestyle, much more than an app)

Where is your favourite place to go?

The beach. PERIODDD

What piece of financial advice do you swear by?

Pay yourself first. Then save.

So I was asked to review the Marisol bralette. Ashli said “it’s one of those pieces that flatter everyone’s body type”. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to go to the beach and give it the photo shoot it deserves.

As you can see, it’s a beautiful pink colour that’s on brand for “Goody on a Budget”. It looked amazing on my skin. It really popped. I would wear this to a beach or river par. It was snug but better snug than loose. We’ve all had accidents at the beach with our swimsuits…..right guys? With this swimsuit, I KNOW it’s not coming off easily. One good thing about this top is that it is adjustable at the back so you can wear it with the quarantine weight gain and when you lose the weight again. Ashli is very hands on with the measurement stuff so you’ll get your perfect fit. You can look out for this piece on IG one day in the future when I give it the photo shoot it deserves.
